"Form, rhythm, texture, and color apply to both musical performance and visual art. Photographic composition informs my painting, and the tactile joy of working with paint affects what I see through the camera’s viewfinder. In the end, they all merge into one overall pursuit, as I seek to develop and give voice to my own personal vision.”
A multifaceted artist fluent in many media, Anne Black has built a richly varied and productive career in the performing and visual arts and arts administration.
